Light Diffusion Question
Hey Y'all,
I know that I am compromising one of four Top Secret Lighting Projects, but I cannot compromise my budget, so I must get the facts before I do it.
Anyway,
The plan is to put flex strips or leds under the windows, and attached, so the roll up and down with the window. Anyway, Will the light diffuse throughout the window? They are tinted, I think that would help a bit, but I don't know.
All help appreciated, thanks!

Not sure actually. The stock head unit shines leds into the edge of a thick, clear plastic piece that sits behind the LCD. The plastic diffuses the light to make the glow the proper color. However, it does have a piece of white cardboard behind to to reflect the light and make it light up nice and bright, so I am not sure how it will work on the window. You can try placing some on the top edge of the window first to test it I guess. With the shape of the window, your big challenge (if it works) will be getting it to light up evenly I think. You will need a good number of fairly high output leds most likely to get the right effect.
