Default Light replacement experts? Quick Help!

Hey guys,

I bought bulbs a year and a half ago for my tC and one just blew. I want to get them replaced. I know it used the 9005 and 9006 halogen bulbs, but if I change my headlights will it use the same bulbs? I imagine that the bulbs are only different if you get an HID conversion? Am I right? Thanks!

the bulb should have what kind it is written on itself somewhere.

so just pop the hood, take out the burned out bulb and see what it says. it shoud say 9006, 9005, h1 or h11 or whatever kind your headlight uses.

What I mean is, I dont want to buy new bulbs now if I am going to be replacing my entire headlights soon if they wont fit. If I get these headlights (for example) will the bulbs I buy for my stock headlights be the same for this or is the whole thing different because it is projector? Thanks.

I am looking on ebay and all the headlights on see say something to the effect of "Xenon HID 8500k bulbs" and I am afraid that this is not what I need knowing that the '06 headlights have halogen bulbs. If this is the case and these won't work, why can't I find bulbs that will work?

totally depends on what bulbs your new housings will take. look up the specs of the headlights.

Well... I am looking for bulbs for my stock headlights and if I get new headlights I want the bulbs to still work. I am confused between the difference of halogen and HID when I thought they are totally different lighting technologies yet halogen lights online are being called HID. I do not understand what bulbs I need to get that will work without doing any HID conversion.

exactly, those headlights as an example. If I do not get an HID conversion and just got "Halo projector headlights" new 8500k replacement halogen bulbs will still work on them with no modification, right?

if the headlights that are up there are also 9006/9005. if they aren't you're going to have to get some wire harnesses to make it work with your car's oem 9006 harness.

Ok, now we are getting somewhere. However, isn't there a standard that most replacement headlights will use the same 9005/9006 harness? Why would they change it and wouldn't it state that before I buy them?

Does anyone know a combination/manufacturer of 9005/9006 and h3 (vrd fog) lights that will have a matching 5-7k temp?

I purchased a set of projector headlights for my car and was informed that my stock low beam bulbs which I had just purchased a few months ago (Sylvania Silverstar Ultra II's) would not work with the new units. When i got the new units in the mail I was able to confirm this. The units came with high beam and low beam bulbs already and have pre-wired plug adapters so they can plug and play connect to the old headlamp wiring... hope that helps.

I got my headlights from: http://www.customstore44.com/projector.htm

The anzo's I bought came with the bulbs except turn signal You can just slip the stock turn signal into the hole. The low beams are h7 and the high beams are h1's. Thats with me looking at the bulb right infront of me.
