I did on my xA, my Lexus, and my Corolla. . . I just havn't had a chance to do it on the tC. It's not hard really, just find nice little edges in the plastic and either drill holes and use zip ties, or glue em on. Also zip tie them to wire harnesses.

The only thing is, you have to count how many you place, and write it down. You definitely want to remove 'em before going into any kind of service, unless you want a law suit filed against you.
rofl...this is the funniest thread ever

So you can understand how I would be more than a little upset if that got stolen.
Is it really that hard to hide a 5th gen ipod? Buy one of those clear acrylic cases from Fry's for $20. Buy velcro @ home depot for $6. Velcro the ipod under the ebrake or shifter panel. You can pop-out the ipod cable connector so it isn't attached to the center console.

Seems like a great idea, but busting the center console apart all the time to get to the iPod...not so much. :-\ Damnit, Scion, why didn't you give us a locking center console?

This threa dis entertaining. Um, the razorblade thing is pretty frightening....albeit a great theft deterrant.

I still stand by the fact if they can't see it or anything else tempting the thief tends to move on. Around where I live people are known for the ol smash and cowardly grab and run. Just keep it outta sight and I am sure you will be fine. I can understand your worry though, pods are pricey if it really worries you do the false floor thing sounds great!
