i think he's saying his highs dont keep up with the lows. thats y my recommendation was for new speakers. but i would not get new speakers before a new head unit.
also sound deadening is IMO very important as well if you want quality sound.

I don't want necessarily just highs goin through the subs. I like it when My car sounds full with music. The way I'm getting that is running both highs and lows through the subs. I switched it over to just lows today. It sounds aright but the bass isn't kickin enough. The subs get distorted when I turn the amp all the way up.
