Default looking to purchase DVD player upgrade in future, noob ques.

so i'm fianlly to decide to add some bling bling to my tC. looking to get a stereo repalcement, with DVD.

i know next to nothing bout these things so i figure to just ask here. with xmas comign along i figure let u guys help me decide and make the choice for me.

stuff i'm lookin for:

- 500 - 700 tops price tag
- dvd/mp3/cd
- something to fit/replace the old stereo w/o making it look outa palce, something that fits perfect would be great.
- NAV is ok but not necessary, if it doesn't have NAV and is cheaper, even better
- something able to fit w/o having to replace the stereo door thingy
- sounds good, not cheap
- and lastly something that has a good equalizer, more options than stock, lol.

i know i'm prolly pulling the lazy card here but xmas is coming and normally i'd take months more reasearch for something so expensive, but i figure u guys on this sub section of the forums kno most about it.

You can try JVC or Panasonic, they'll have better quality for a lower price than some of the other offerings (Legacy and Pyle). I know the JVCs have a 7-band EQ.

might be a good idea if you want to do something like that. its a pretty cool deck imo. i personally like pioneer, but jvc is building up, along side panasonic. i would trust those decks above, but if i had the cash id go with the AVIC-D3 which was debuted at this years SEMA its sexy :D

I actually just ordered the first one, I can keep you updated on it, but I drive an XA so I won't be able to comment on how it would work with the HU door. Also since its that time of year the shipping is free at buydig.

Also yeah crutchfield discontinued the Panasonic, but it is still a great research site for it.
