Carbon, is the ODO screen actually lighter blue? I like it...

 

Yea, I don't know why, but these LED's are a lot lighter in color than my 05's

Here's my 05, same exact LED setup, same exact face plates.


And here's the 08.

You're on your own for the two-tone . It's a pain in the assssssss. As long as you do all white LED's for the gauges (4 for temp/gas, 5 for speed, 3 for tach), you can do any two-tone you want. Just need to apply a film behind the gauges. I still need to do my needles, and even though the coloring didn't look right, I think I'm going to try out that IIP paint. If it's not that great, then maybe I'll try to get some SW paint .

 

carbon take pics at night, daytime will always appear lighter.

 

Even at night it looked a lot lighter. It's not so much a factor of 'brightness' but it's...less blue lol. Like the LCD before was a solid blue, now it's more of a lighter blue with a little green in it. I'm going to put a single film of blue saran wrap behind it and see how that affects the coloring on the LCD. I'm not going to bother with the resistors because it's already the perfect brightness (although my 05 was brighter, because my turn signals used to light up the whole car ).

hey just curious, i did mine today, and i wanted to have white numbers and blue dashes, but it didnt come out that way, it all sorta came out bluish white....how do you guys manage to make the dashes blue, and numbers white, or vise versa, doesnt matter, not sure which combo exactly i want....im stuck here, please help

 

you need transparent vinyl, i got some if u need some.
