well its not the prettiest thing in the world, first time ever building a box on my own, in the past ive always had the help of my buddy who does carpentry for a living, so anyways, dont flame me too bad for my woodworking skills. as u can see, the carpet i got obviously didnt work too well, i can make carpet look pretty good for what its worth, not pro by any means, but typically a hella lot better than this came out. maybe ill re wrap it someday. anyways, hears the pix, im about to headout and try to get the rest of this thing complete

thats not true, not entirely by any means, down in the kicks they sound real nice, in fact, once i can get them on axis it will be a lot better. the main problem people have with having them down low is stage height, with a lil t/a i got mine up to the center of the dash right about where the top of the radio door is.. its where it sounds best to me right now... its only been installed a few days, so ill get it good b4 long, especially once i get the tweets on axis, or a lot closer
As long as everything sounds good to you that's all that matters. I was referring to sound staging when I made that comment. I've just always heard people say to mount tweets up high but as long as everything still sounds nice, rock on.
yea ur right, most people do, alot of people dont have the EQ and t/a capabilities on their units though, actually, even down there, i still have them attenuated slightly, i have the mids 80 - 2.5k/12db and the tweets at 2.5k+/24db.

they are also pretty efficient but have a lowish xmax so they don't need a huge port.
