Default mounting amp on sub enclosure

is it a bad idea to mount an amp on the sub box? will it effect or damage anything in anyway? if its safe to do, are there certain things i should take into consideration?

Alot of people have their amps mounted to the enclosure. Some people say the vibrations of the sub/enclosure could damage the internal components of the amp, but if your enclosure is solid and braced, I don't see that happening.

Mounting the amp to the sub box is ok as long as you're smart enough to bolt the enclosure down securely. Otherwise, your neighborhood theif (AKA, douchebags) will have no problem getting all your poop with one easy snip of the wirecutters

abou thte vibration... i would try rubber mounts between the buts and bolts... and then securing it tightly.

well... make it... bolt:washer:rubber washer:amp:

so a washer can hold the rubber washer... and then the rubber can hold the amp... so it's not chattering on the metal one.. and so it absorbs some vibration.. instead of it going directly to the amp.
