so you just want to upgrade the components and amps.

The tC and most cars stereo setups just run a front stage.....for $500 you could get a nice set of Image Dynamics or Elemental Designs or other speaker for the fronts and run just a 2 channel amp to push them.

I have a 4 channel amp pushing my fronts and rears in my car and to be honest the rear are not needed......I push them with only about 100w to fill in.The fronts are gettign 125w and it is all I can take.

do you wnat a sound quality setup, volume setup.....or both.

he's running elemental designs' 6000v.2 components. elemental designs has discontinued these speakers while they are developing their e9.65i components.

The e9.65i component speakers are supposed to be great, and are available for a steal of a price right now. The catch is that they havn't begun actual production yet, so it may be after the first of the year before you actually get the speakers.

DSL, Image Dynamics, Rainbow, and Focal are all great brand as well.

Yep I got Elemental Designs v6000s front and back......and for my sub stage 3 10" Image Dynamics in a sealed box with each chamber for each sub separated.

Comps in the front are gettign around 125w any more and they start to distort badly.and the backs are about 80-90w as any more and they not sound good back there.

The subs are gettign about 500w

The new Ed e9.65i are supposed to be great speakers, but the wait for them is a few more months.

Image dynamics made great comps and subs as well.....and on a budget.
Elemental subs liek the 13av.2 are extremly loud and clear as well. and not to spendy.
As for amps.......I am running a NINe.5 for it all but it is discontinued and although only rated at 600w at 1ohm for a sub channel it goes a lot more than that.

Check around on a few forums like the ED forum or the DIYMA forum as there are lots of peopel selling good equipment.

i've currently got my nine.4 under my passenger seat. i wish i wouldn't have tried to do it. I origionally got it to fit (had to remove the seat to get it in), but because of all the levers and cables, you will not be able to slide the seat forward/back. To be able to slide it forward and back, you have to get longer seat bolts and about 10 washers per bolt. This is what I've done. But i learned the hard way, and now have a very scratched up nine.4.
When I get some time, i'm going to move it to the trunk. Most people will take the foam piece that houses the tire iron and tow hook, remove that, and make cut a circle out of MDF that will fit into the spair tire. Then mount the amp to that.

Yeah amps actually fit quite well in the back.

I am about to put my NINe.5 under a false floor with the bottom off so you can see the guts under plexi.there is a lot of room though under the rear floor.in fact if you put the jack and all the other tire removal tools in a tool bag you have even more.
