Default my first cutom install

hey guys whats up. i just finished my first custom sub and amp install tuesday night. i bought a kicker 8" L7 and a kicker ZX350.2 amp. it sounds great.

i had to raise the floor of the hatch 2 inches to make sure i had proper clearence for the sub box. i used the dimensions that came in the book with the sub. i'm not sure why the pic looks like the carpet is different shades of color but it is all the same color of black. it all came from the same roll.

the rear strut bar is still on the car. you can see the tip of the tower just barely peaking out over the back of the install..lol

please don't mind my filthy car. i started cutting for the box outside. the dust got on my car then it started to rain. i haven't been able to clean it yet.

Not so clean of a install. J/K
Just kiddig it looks good good job. Only thing i'll be scared of is something falling on the sub. But other then that it looks good. How you liking that 8" L7 i'm getting a 12"L7 soon so how hard does your 8" hit?

How about building a custom grill for that sub to make sure nothing lands on it or scoots over to rub on it?

zero, i love the sub. it is exactly what i was looking for. it puts out nice clean bass, it isn't too loud outside the car yet it puts out plenty of bass inside the car. i love it.

rosewell, i'm going to order the kicker grille for it when i get the chance. if i have to put something in the back that i need to really worry about messing up the sub i will just take it out.

You wouldn't mind placing a pic of your box would you? I'm going to have to build a box myself so just want a kick in the right direction.
