new speakers or sub?
i drive a 2006 tC. i've recently noticed that i want better sound in my car. my problem is that i don't want to spend so much money by buying two amps, a sub, new speakers, and a new head unit.
i'm think of buying an amp and a sub, or an amp and new speakers. i'm looking for quality rather than just huge volume levels. i listen to all kinds of music, as well.
so which do you think i'd be better off with, new speakers or a sub?
i'm considering a new head unit as well, i've read on here that the tC stock HU is terrible. i'd feel bad getting a new one because the stock is so cool though.

A nice set of amplified components would sound awesome. Throw some coaxials in the rear and run them off the headunit. Add in a little sound deadening here and there and your good to go.

As for the stock HU, why listen to other people? If you're happy with it, keep it, as only your opinion matters because your the one who listems to you're system.

IMO you get what you pay for
(if not concerned too much with bass) you can buy a great set of components for not too much $$$.
if bass is what you are looking for then in order to keep any sort of quality in the car you are most likely going to have to turn down the gain on your amp so your stock highs are not being drowned out. Thus you are spending money on a sub and amp that you are not using to the fullest. (I am not saying it is, however you can look at this as wasted money. You bought something you are not using all the way)
Also when you say you are not wanting to spend a lot of money on audio, you kinda got to be more specific with the amount you are willing to spend. Seeing how we don't know each other, a lot could be $500 or $5000.
One last thing. Regardless of which direction you go, make sure you price everything out first. you are going to find online prices a lot less then Best Buy, Curcuit City, or other local audio store prices.
