Default my first lighting project

Its been raining here every night for over a week, so I finally got some pics. I have the blue cold cathode kit from RANDODE.COM. 22 blue leds and 4 blue cathodes from Oznium. and 2 hot lava tubes in the sub box. Let me just say thanks for all the great ideas!

2 cathodes(each side) wired to turn on when doors are open and off when shut

I know almost everyones done it but its still cool

Hey how much did all those lights run you? Did you get the $100 kit from randode, I didn't think that kit would come with 22 leds.

I didn't realize just how big the pedals were until I saw the pics. will be getting some new ones. As for wiring the lights to turn on when doors are open, i ran a power wire to the lights and taped the ground wire into a wire under the door sil cover. I used a 12volt light tester to find which wire was ground when the door button is out and not ground when the button is pushed in. I hope this helps. I think it was orange and silver. The 22 leds came from Oznium. I spented about $250 for everything.

take the door panel off and drill into the plastic surrounding the speaker. shouldn't be that hard

looks good dude. very similar to what I want to do. I want cathodes in the footwells, 2 LED's in each cupholder (so 12 total), and then 5 LED's in each of the door pockets.

4 cathodes, 4 transformers, 22 LED's = long project lol

i dont have a volt tester ... can somebody confirm that its the orange and silver wires for the ground?

i'm still puzzled on my KARR security problem. i'm trying to figure out which wire is the ground one so that i can tap into it and link up more leds that flash like the factory one :X

there is a thread on how to gut you tc some where (seach) once you take off the door panels and rear speaker panel you will notice a plastic lip around half the inside grill. there is plenty of room to drill holes to mount the leds on the lip. I put 3 leds on each grill. sorry but I don't have pics. I just bought a camera about a week after I did this.
