I grounded it to the ground for the headunit. Just tapped into the ground in the wiring harness for the headunit.

I did the same thing on my D3 and had no problems for the few months I had it.

Default bazooka sub adaptor

What sup fellas! I had the D3 installed 2 weeks ago and everything is fine EXCEPT: I've lost the steering wheel controls and my stock 6' bazooka sub. I have found the adaptor for the steering wheel control BUT have no idea where to find one for the sub. Any suggestion? :?

tongman.. its not a plug and play, its as easy as installing any other headunit (butte splice some wires or solder, then tap the speed sensor).

karatekidd, its a standard dual din deck, i think its a 7"x4".

Hey whats up with this...? I made a DVD Divx movies disk and some of my files won't play. It says the files cannot be read or something like that. Anybody know why? All the movie files are .divx and they are all working, just don't know why some won't play on there. Anyone else have this problem?

I have a 08 Super White also, how did you fix the steering wheel controls? What do you need? Where do you get it? What about the ipod/aux link? Is this operational?

^ its the PAC Swi-PS check it on crutchfield or ebay. after you install the d3 the aux input in the arm rest becomes useless; it only works with the stock deck, unless you want to solder it to make it work, which would be pretty cool, but not worth it imo.

tongman, im not too sure why its .divx, it should be .avi. divx is an avi encoder. check the file header settings, i know that i had to change a few of my videos headers (its easy but i forgot how too) before they can play on the d3. check out avic411 and search around there for how to do it, or if all else fails google-it.

monster, your best bet to keep the stock sub would be to trace the wiring and see hat is what (power, gnd, + and - signals, etc) then wire some thing up to do it that way.

What do you do to bypass the head unit from playing dvd's while the car is in motion??

I have the 2008 tC and it has the ipod connectivity as well as the aux jack, will the ipod jack still work with the d3 or will I have to just purchase the ipod cable for $30 and route it to the armrest?

to bypass the d3 you have to move the mute wire (yellow with black stripe) up one slot and then ground that. then ground the parking brake lead (i think its pink or green.. i dont remember). ground those two and you will be able to gain all the features that you would if you wouldve stopped while driving. theres a DIY on here somewhere on how to do it i think Phanon tC wrote it, it has pictures too.

you cant use the aux jack that comes with the oem HU. personally if you have the d3, get the ipod adapter its HELLA worth it. the integration with the deck is awesome and fast, making searching a song a breeze. and yes you can run it up to your arm rest. thats what i did and it works great.

So you have to ground the parking brake wire to watch dvds while driving right?
