i realize this is from the dead but i have a couple questions about your old setup....

what amp did you use to power your 2 10"s? and how did you have them wired, i.e.- 2-2ohms bridged to 1 ohm, 2-2ohms ran in parallel to a 2ohm 2 channel, 2-4 ohm subs bridged to a 2ohm one channel, etc.

reason i ask is because i was thinking of bridging 2-2ohm SQ10s powered with a PPi 500.1 1ohm amp and just looking for input if that is not enough power, too much power, or if there is a better suggestion that you might have.

install looks/looked top notch and sorry to steal the idea but, i plan on recreating it somewhat for my tC.

thanks for the help, and if anyone else can answer this before golden, feel free please.

I'll chime in here. I've been following his installs a while.

He is running an Alpine MRP-M650 [400 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)].

So I assume he was using 2 - 4 ohm SQ10s in his box to achieve 2 ohms stable.

How well did the original set-up sound? Im gonna be running something similar in the future. I dont want to be heard from miles around, but just a fuller sound in the cab. So Im gonna stick with a single 10" sub like you had. Any suggestions on a 10" sub and amp? I know pioneer makes a pretty good lo-pro sub for small spaces like this...

Hey Golden86, when you installed your two SQ-10 subs in the back, did you do it initially without any deadening in your car? If so, how did it sound? Was there excessive rattling or any annoying sounds? I'm looking to save some money on the setup I'm installing and I was wondering if the deadening is absolutely necessary.

both set-ups are so amazing i wish i could make or get my hands on a box like that first one! Did some measurments today and it seems like those shallow pioneer subs would work in there. Oh how i wish i could...

hey Golden86, when you made the first sub enclosure that fit into the right cubby with two SQ-10s, did you have any deadening in the trunk? If not how did it sound without deadening, did it vibrate to much?
