Default need adivce on wiring sub

I have a kicker comp vr 8" sub and i was wondering if i should wire it in series or parallel? The amp I have is the Rockford Fosgate 201s.

Here are the specs for the sub:

# Subwoofer Size: 8"
# Peak Power Handling: 400 watts
# RMS Power Handling: 200 watts
# Sensitivity : 83.1 dB
# Frequency Response 30 - 500 Hz
# Impedance: 4 ohms DVC
# Dual Voice Coil: Yes
# Surround Material Santoprene Rubber
# Inverted Structural Dome Polymineral Injection Molded Cone: Remains rigid, and lowers distortion
# Rear Cone Brace: Offers unmatched strength and resistance to deformation
# Ribbed Santoprene Surround for Linear Cone Motion
# Silver-Coated Stamped Steel Basket
# Stitched Surround: Ensures the cone and surround won't seperate, even under the highest loads
# High-temp Polyimide Film Voice Coil Former
# Dual Ultra-Length Voice Coils
# Perimiter Venting
# Sleeved High-Power Tinsel Lead Wires
# Spring Loaded Nickel-Plated Terminals
# Sealed Box Volume: 0.4 - 1.8 cu. ft.
# Ported Box Volume: 0.8 - 1.22 cu. ft.
# Top Mount Depth: 4-5/6"
# Cutout Diameter: 7-1/16"

Thanks for any help

Depends entirely on what amp you're hooking it up to. If your amp does 2ohm mono, wire the coils in parallel.

This is the power output from the amp:

2 x 50W RMS (20Hz to 20kHz) @ 4Ohm
2 x 100W RMS (20Hz to 20kHz) @ 2Ohm
1 x 200W RMS (20Hz to 20kHz) @ 4OhmBridged Mono

To get 100% output, you'll need a second sub or a different amp. Your wiring options with the DVC are either 2ohm or 8ohm, and your amp only does 4ohm mono, and 50W into 4ohm stereo-- so the most you can feed the sub is about 100W. Underpowered, obviously.

You want an amp that makes at least 200w RMS into a 2ohm load. An Alpine MRP-M450 (when tuned properly) would be more than enough, and inexpensive, too.

Sorry for the big bump, but I am also wondering what wire people used for the remote turn on wire for an amp on the 08 premium headunit. I have read several threads and people keep saying different colors wires

thanks
