need advice on sub/amp selection and sub

Hi guys i have an 05 tc with an aux adapterHere installed already. I now want a sub setup with the stock headunit.
So i have a few questions.
1) i just want 1 sub nothing too fancy what is a good sub and amp power combination.
2)will this interfere with my aux adapter?
3)what else do i need to buy/do.

Obviously you can tell i have 0 knowledge on this so any help is appreciated.

is 200-300 doable? Just need some kick not trying to win competitions. Used products are fine.

Sure if u do the install by urself I don't see y not. U can do like a cobalt sub from Orion n then a Orion cobalt amp with box plus a lil extra for wiring it

what kind of amp am i supposed to buy. i am on their website browsing and i see mono 2 channel 4 channel. I am assuming mono? also what gauge wiring is optimal?
