Default need audio help

i'm getting like a crackling sound out of my subwoofer, and then the thing sometimes doesn't give out any sound or a really muffled sound. is that basically what a blown sub sounds like? also, for some reason, my capacitor is showing that my voltage is going below 10. i only even noticed this cuz when it goes below that point, the thing beeps, and when the voltage goes above 10, it stops beeping. what could be causing this? could the cap have discharged somehow, or is it something else maybe? thanx for any input.

from the looks of it, your best bet would be to re-check all your wiring from your battery to your amp then to your sub. make sure all the connections are tight, and that the way you ran it that there is nothing that is affecting the wire. good luck!

it's not the sub-i put in another sub i had and it did the same thing. i took out the sub, and i'm gonna check all the wiring when i have a chance. it's annoying-this didn't happen until recently, so maybe one of the wires did get loose.

I need help... My stock stereo is hooked up to my 2 10" JBL subs with 1200wat amp. all installed by cartoys. When am sitting it sounds fine and when i start moving the bass gets a lot louder and doesnt sound too good. but if am sitting and hit the gas in park or neutral the bass doesnt change so i thought it might be a power problem but am not sure now. I need help on what is going on. Does Scion stock stereo have a road noise inside the stereo or is it the battery, alternator, not enough power or what???? Someone help....

hmm have you tried turning off the ASL? i dont think itd affect your sub like that; your bass would increase.. did you use a line out converter? but my best guess would be the ASL sensor. i had a amp/sub combo before on the stock stereo and haven't had any problems. but yeah mos def check the asl :D hope it helps!
