Default Need DIY for NRG quick release setup.

I have an NRG quick release setup and really need help installing it so if anybody knows of a DIY thread or can tell me how to do it that would be awesome. Anybody here that has already done it? How hard is the install? Any tips or tricks I might need to know? Gonna be instaling this stuff Thursday.

Thanks in advance.

Did a search and didn't really find anything

disconnect battery..........

remove the two screws holding the airbag in place.......take off airbag cover.......remove steering wheel harness under neath............remove steering wheel.......not sure if you need a puller or not for the hub.......but I bet it does.......any parts store $12........pull hub.......put on new quick release hub.......attach steering wheel.........

from what I gather the return for the blinkers no longer works without modifacation so when you go around a corner the blinker willnot turn off.......but this is just what I saw on one persons........

never found one that was hard to get off..........have not tried mine yet.......kinda like my airbag.......hope this helps.

Yeah u lose that stuff unless u mod it to work. I am just gonna get used to it. Never use the horn plus I have an oogah horn on a switch anyways. The cruise control and horn can be moved but I can't find out how to do it.

I know the blinker switch can be modded with some epoxy and a but of plastic to catch a tab onthe hub and tun it back off.........this is what I did on a GTO long time ago........same concept would work........but it is a pain........

I also need to know how to put the quick release part together. There are two metal gasket looking pieces and a metal o ring looking piece that I have NO idea where they go to.

ok I got everything installed (and even blew the fuse to my Viper alarm somehow...ha ha) and I have one issue. Now when i turn my wheel and let it come back it clicks like it is trying to do the blinker cancel. Does anybody know what this could be and how to fix it?

here are some pics. Also there are still some wires that are hanging off the bottom. Like harnesses of some sort. Would that be my problem?
