Default need grounding point

I'm trying to install a 300w DC-->AC invertor i got in the mail today and i'm kinda stuck. I've run the fused power wire from the battery thru the driverside firewall grommet, behind the center console, and into the passenger footwell where I intend to put the inverter (by bolting it onto that plastic shield thingy under the glove compartment). alright, power wire is done. Now for the ground, where the heck can i find a bolt that will ground out to the body? I've only got a foot of wire to play with so my options are kinda limited. In the 5 minutes i spent searching for one in the car, the bolt behind the plastic kick panel and the bolt that kick panel attaches too are not grounded. where else is there one?
