is there a diy for putting a double den into a tc and still be able to close the cover for the radio need help i was told you got to cut the tabs and move the radio back more for it to close does any one know

 

drill out the dimples on the bracket and mount the headunit there

 

cut what tabs? you drill holes into the bracket..

there's no cutting involved.

 

what holes do you drill do you have a pic and how hard is it

 

What I did was install it normally and figure out how far back I had to move it to make the door close, then drilled that far back from each of the holes.

 

very hard if you don't have a drill.

 

I'm not sure what HU you are installing but for both my Pioneer AVH4000 and my Pioneer F90BT I didn't have to do any drilling. I just screwed the brackets in their normal spots and put the unit in. If I close the door hard it hits the main **** on the radio but it still shuts fine, the radio just gets muted sometimes.
