Default need to hide important stuff!!!!

i was wondering if there is a place in the TC where i can hide things like money, and other expensive things. i was thinking about cutting out the bottom of the armrest in the center console and fabricating something but i was wondering if there is something already made that i dont know about. i was also thinking about mounting a lockbox under one of the seats. if anyone has any ideas im completely open to suggestions.

Thanks Guys

While it's known to Scion owners, there are plenty of little compartments underneath the carpet in the trunk around the spare tire...I like keeping stuff like car wash supplies there so I have it when I need it but my trunk is still empty

For stuff like your stash... errr I mean your money and such ..

Reach under the dash near the hood release. There is a small cover that pops off. I havent really tried it out, but it looks like a good place that most wouldnt notice to put things like money.

All of the panels pretty much just pop off so maybe the footwells would be a decent hiding spot.

Put it in the most obvious place and it'll most likely be overlooked. But I put my stash...err money in between my front floor mats. There is a detachable carpeted part that comes off, so it hids pretty well.

There's some pretty good deep areas on the sides of the backseat cushion. The whole thing just pops right out if you lift it up, so you can see where they are.

Where did you say your car is usually parked at night?

the window side armrests that silver circle? slide your nail under it and pop it off. There's enough space to put about a walnut sized object in there. In the hatch in the far corners there are inconspicuous carpeted panels that pop off that can fit practically a 2 liter. There's so many panels all over that come off real easy but no one would search. So you could stick just about anything, just about anywhere.

I actually think you could hide stuff from the cars owner in there... from some of the other threads I have read I dont think many people have ever opened the manual

with some long fingernails you can pop off the plastic cupholder piece pretty easily and quickly (i can do it in 10 seconds with a putty knife...but that's so i don't scratch anything). plop your stuff in there to the right of the e-brake, then snap the piece back in place. no one will ever think to look in there...until now.

if you want to get fancy you can make an additional false floor in the spot under the armrest (where the aux in is). then what you do is always leave a fin in the first part of the armrest, or in the cell phone holder. so if someone sees from a distance that you have been monkeying around in the car and decides to smash your window, they'll find the easy five and expect that was all.

yeah i thought about under the e-brake but ive taken that piece off so many times already that the clips are wearing out and the back left one broke the other day also the 05 tC doesnt have an AUX in. which im ____ed about but i realized that there is almost no room at all underneath it cuz it bolts right to the floorboard on top of the exhaust hump. i tried the panels in the back by the brake lights but ____ falls down into the bottom of the car and nex to impossible to retrieve. for right now im using the little pop-off door above the hood latch release it does ok. keep em' comin im waiting for the best of all ideas.

Yeah, the lower armrest is a good place. Take a peice of 3/4" mdf and cut it to fit the bottom. Then cut out a hole in the middle. Lay it in, throw in your money (or whatever else you may need to stash ) and put the felt peice over it. I think 3/4" would probably be thin enough to miss the power port in there.

i hide an extra pair of underpants under my drivers seat.

3 spots to hide stuff:
super secrect is to hide it in the a pillar, because it's pretty easy to remove and install quickly.

on the passengers side, under the glive box area, there is a panel that is held in with a clip, it's easy to remove and reinstall, i keep $50 cash in a zip lock bag taped to that just in case.

also, you can hide something very easily under the flip up panels that rest up against the back seats in the trunk...just flip them down and thrown something down there.
