Default Need Scion tC Navigation Fit Kit Part#

My SNS just came in but apparently a tC application requires a fit kit that is not included with the head unit. Can anyone please provide me with the part number for this item? Many thanks!

Hopefully you've gotten this issue resolved by now, if not then you should know the SNS does NOT require any fit kit. The SNS does come with two brackets, left and right, which you use to install and ensure proper alignment. If you didn't get these brackets the part number is PT611-21080. Hope that helps!

I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. A fit kit is required. This includes the part that fills the gap the SNS will make between the dash and the unit once the cover has been removed.

^^ indeed... the fit kit is NOT included with the headunit itself.

and actually.. the part number is located on the instructions for the HU (for the tC)
he was correct at least in saying that the part number is PT611-21080

i do believe the kit costs about $40-50.

I've been told that attempting to install this on pre 2008 model year tC is more trouble than it's worth. Can anybody tell me why it may be so?

I;ve heard it's not just a simple plug-in for the 08's, they actually have to alter the harnesses... But, of course, I don't know this for a fact... I have the SNS in my 08 tC and it's alright... I wish I could have financed an aftermarket instead, though.
