neon tube wiring help
so... i was cleaning out my garage a while back and found four 10" neons that i used to have in a car many moons ago....
i thought it'd be neat to run them inside the tc to light up the interior floor, but got stumped about the wiring... i want to have them connect to a switch on the dash (that part i got), but where should i tap power from? i though about getting power from the cig lighter, but i currently plug my garmin into that - will it also run four neons at the same time?
if i have to run a new power lead from the battery, any idea what size fuse to put in-line? if it matters, the wires on the neon tubes look to be about 18 or 20 gauge...
thanks in advance!

not sure the power draw on neons, but if you are worried about it i might pick up some cheap leds and do it that way, i am almost positive LEDs would draw less power and last longer than 1999 fast and the furious neon tubes
the cig lighter lead should do just fine

^ I agree. I think the neons sparked a good idea though. I have led strips under the foot wells of my car and they put off more light better than any cathode I ever had. This isn't answering your question, I know.
You can get a fuse tap at any auto store and hook them up to the positive that way. That way your power and switch are less than 2 inches from each other.
