i just redid the entire audio system. i went with a phoenix gold xenon 600.1 amp for my cdt es-sq 10" subwoofer in the quarterwave enlcosure, and a xenon 100.4 amp for cdt cl components in the front with the upstage kit, and in the rear i did cdt ef components set up as coaxials in the rear. the amps are sweet-they look good and they pump loud as hell. the 100.4 rated at around 128w rms per channel and the single channel rated at 623w rms. the setup sounds sweet as hell. i ended up putting a carpeted amp board in the trunk and mounting the amps on there. also, just a side note, doing the big 3 upgrade is definitely key. my capacitor was showing the voltage between 13.1 at the low and at the peak, it was showing 13.4volts. now the cap shows between 14.1 and 14.3volts. that's a decent jump-alot of these amps are CEA compliant, which means they're rated at 13.8volts. i went with 2gauge power wire to do the upgrade, and a 2gauge tsunami amp kit. the car's been sound deadened with a combination of the new edead v1se and edead v4. later on today after i finish doing the ground wires i'm gonna try and deaden up the hood/engine bay by throwing on a layer of dynamat extreme and the hoodliner. i tried taking pics, but it's too bright out-the sun is shining directly into the car, but later on this afternoon, i'll take pics. if i didn't need the spare tire, i woulda been able to do another sub, but it still sounds pretty damned good with just one 10".

here are some of the quick pics i took:

i didn't have a chance to cut the trunk liner and put it over the enclosure, that's gonna wait until the weekend i guess.

didn't take pics of the hoodliner either. do that tomoro. basically, it's just a piece of this foam with the reflective sheet over it that says hoodliner. who the hell knows if it even works, but i figured why not try it? once it gets nicer out, i'm gonna go with black leather with silver inserts and silver stitching. haven't decided if i'm gonna get visor monitors and headrest monitors, but i'm leaning torwards visor monitors. i don't really have people in the back, and i don't want anyone looking into my car and seeing them, then trying to smash my windows to steal them. other than that, and adding a back up camera, my audio is basically done. i already have the eclipse avn5495-which by the way, is friggin amazing. the hard drive is sick, the nav is pretty damned good, and the unit itself is basically big, big pimpin. next stop-power and suspension mods.

yep-the seats can recline still pretty far. the board was hooked up at a 15-20 degree angle. i don't think they go all the way down like before, but i don't sit in the back, so it doesn't really matter to me. they still go down pretty far. i'm loving the setup, except for the fact that the avn5495 doesn't have seperate treble and bass controls. u have to control them thru the equalizer, and the sub control goes from 1 to 4. the other thing i'm looking into right now also is a center channel speaker. the avn doesn't have a digital output, so that's an issue as well. cdt has this thing called a center stage speaker system, but it has to be dash mounted. i wouldn't do that, cuz it'd look retarded having these two tweets sitting on the middle of my dash. instead, i'm thinking about getting a custom piece fiberglassed against the rearview mirror and have the speakers pointing down. the other thing that i'm gonna be doing next is probably the k40 calibre radar detector and laser defuser. the thing is friggin sweet-not that many wires because it's all bluetooth, but that makes it expensive. i might do just a regular valentine one hardwired and add the k40 laser defuse, but i don't know yet.
