Default New Problem!

So now that i have my system hooked up i was jamming for about a day. My head unit flickered off and since my hand was on the steering wheel changing songs, i thought it was me who turned it off. the next day when i got off of work. i turn my car on and then the radio and then it completly shuts off(head unit). so i try to turn it on and no response!!!!!!! O No wtf just happened. I checked the fuses and everything is top notch A O K and cannot find a reason why it doesnt work now. i discinnected the system and reconected the radio and nothing as well. Has anyone had this problem? what did you do to fix it.

Two things that come to mind. One check the plug to the radio. Lots of times they come bad from the manufacturer. Second check all your speakers. If you happen to have a bad one it could short out and cause the radio to shut off. Other than that double check your wiring.

also.. a short or electrical fluctuation in the system may have also triggered the head units breaker.. you should have a tiny button to push to reset it.. but flickering sure sounds like a connection/fuse/short issue.. or as a last resort the head unit..

to give a real response we would need to know more information like for starters is it a factory headunit or aftermarket. and are your door speakers amped. if it is the factory headunit i can think of a lot of different things it could be. more info or pay someone.

Or, he's working on it doing what everyone has suggested and he hasn't had time to post yet. Be patient, he'll come back and fill us in on all of your questions i'm sure.
