Default noise

a couple days ago i was turning a cornor going a little fast and i had to turn pretty hard to make the turn n a few miles down the road i started hearing a tapping noise which sounded like it was comming from under the dash somewhere up by my wipers or my glovebox. it sounds like something it hitting or tapping against metal or something everytime i go over a bump. i figured maybe my power cable to my amp had moved while i was turning and now when i go over bumps its hitting metal or sumthin. i moved the cable a little tonight so tomorrow ill see if it makes a difference. anyone have any ideas on what it could be/

is it high pitched? it could be your radio door if it is.

nope its not the radio door, because i have that problem too this is a lower pitched noise comming from higher in the dash, sounds like its under my hood almost, sounds like something hard is bumping a peice of metal when i go over a bump.

hm... maybe a suspension problem? my friend had a similiar sound when one of his shocks went bad. it could be a possiblity, but depending on how you drive, where you drive, and how many miles you have on your car could all be diffrent factors. sorry dude i couldnt give a more specific answer :/

no i dont have strut bars....unless they come on the rs2.0. i have about 10,000 miles on it. like i said i dont usually drive that hard but i took the turn pretty fast and thats when i started noticing the problem. but it sounds like its comming from in the dash/hood area not the wheels.

I am takin my car to the dealer tommorow for that noise, i have a good friend of mine that works for scion and is going to spend the whole day on it since he gets paid hourly and doesn't care.

The noise for me is a POP or CLUNK noise in the UPPER RIGHT CORNER of my DASH BOARD, we removed the glove box and re-tightned the struts, he will isolate everything tommorow and hopefully there will be a fix for this shortly. Let me know if you found anything else on this.
