Default :o less power after sub/amp installation?

I had two 12 in subs and a 1000 watt amp installed, the day after i was driving home with my girlfriend and it seemed significantly slower. I know that they wired it directly to the battery but that shouldnt have any affect. I have my fair share of extra's on my car including the TRD supercharger, a stage II snow performance boost cooler/ water methanol injector i just dont know if somehow it messed those up? i dont have any idea im just completely baffled.

help me out

bumpin two 12s with 1000 watts is a decent amount of wattage, do you have a capacitor?

1000 watt amp shouldnt be THAT significant. yes you lose come power but i have a 800 watt amp and i calculated it out that my engine loses about ~1 hp witht he subs. So that shouldnt be the problem but if your battery is almost dead then that could be doing it. If you want to try you can get a capacitor and that should help

yea i have a capacitor...and the weight could be the problem but it just seems so drastic of a change of power with just the weight a box and subs...

Yeah dont worry, its just the weight of the vehicle. Also the battery was disconnected so drive it around for a while so the computer can reset itself and re-learn how you drive.
