Official Interior Dash Thread...
efffffer! I hate doing this. It looked really good and I let it dry for 24 hours and then I put the clear coat on AND BAM! The eff-ing paint wrinkles up.
I am sooooooooooooooooo mad!
I gotta start alll over and sand, and repaint. it sucks cause I got it in two colors--pink and white so its going to take forever!
any advice?

FINALLY!!! I finished!!!
Its not "perfect" but I am tired of fooling with it. I have rhinestones around the temp controller thingy and some flowers made out of rhinestones along the unit itself. its really to cover up some dents...
I tried to do the two-color thing and this is what I get. its hard! PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!!
My next project: my calipers and tC emblems.

I used:
Dupli-Color Sandable Primer
Dupli-Color Adhesion Promoter
VHT Engine Spray Paint--Hot Pink
Dupli-Color Import Auto Spray Paint--Super White
word of advice, the Dupli-Color clear coat I used effed up everything the first go around. It worked for the gauge cluster but it messed up the waterfall and the radio cover.
It made certain spots wrinkle up. I even let it dry for like 24 hours and then the clear coat effed it up. It's "sometimey" I guess you could say..
I suggest using a different type/brand of clear coat or something. I didn't clear coat engine cover and the fuse box cover. Or figure out what I was doing wrong.
Heres a pic of my Stereo system... The center part you see was made outta fiberglass. So not only can we do OEM parts in interiors or OEM amp parts like Kicker end caps but even fabbed fiberglass parts like the center piece my local stereo shop made for me then I woodgrained it.

I will when Ihave more time. I just got frustrated with everything else that I'll wait until I hhave a WHOLE day off so that I can do the controls and the calipers.
Im looking at doing my center console in Black Sand Pearl. Prolly just the outer and inner parts and leaving the middle part(where all of the buttons are) silver, unless somebody knows where i can get those done. I thought i saw them awhile back but i dont remember. also the steering wheel pieces and the 2 legs on the console
