Oznium LED Dome Lights Installed
Hi Guys,
First post here, and I've been lurking for a few weeks gleaning some really useful information ever since buying a used '05 tC three weeks ago.
One of the first things I wanted to do on the cheap was improve interior lighting. During my research, I didn't really see any empirical photos comparing stock dome lights vs. LEDs. Maybe they're out there but I couldn't find them (given the number of photographers on this forum, I would have expected more). I got these LEDs: http://www.oznium.com/thin-led-domelight
One 1.5"x1.5" for the front, and one 1.5"x5" for the rear. They do the "theatre lighting" thing, but not all that well. They flicker more than anything, but if you're not looking at the lights themselves, you may or may not notice.
Anyway, not the best quality, and I didn't get more photos since it was getting late for me, but I hope it'll be helpful to anyone researching their lighting options.
Car was shot in complete darkness in my garage, both exposures are identical. Shot with Canon EOS 20D @ ISO3200, 5000K WB, 1/20 sec, f/4.5

^^do eett, you will like it a lot more.
I hated the blue after like 2 weeks, it was cool for a minute then like you said it would hurt your eyes to look for stuff because it made everything look weird.

tru ! i had all blue be4 (blue map lights..front and rear from Garage1217) then i took 2 map light bulbs out and put them in the headlights and replaced them w/ white map lights (much better). i juz ordered a set front and rear from LEDmod ! can't wait to see it !!
What do you mean by "theatre lighting" & flicker? Would I be right to assume you're talking about when the auto fade feature kicks in?
