i did crutchfield just cause its crutchfield and i trust them.
of the two you listed id say go with the first one (car audio plaza) cause he has 100% feedback. i never settle anything less than 98%.. and even at that it is pushing it

I've heard horrible things about those. If I were you, having bought a pioneer, I'd accept the fact that I am not going to have sw controls. If they were that important, you could've bought an eclipse. I have heard of so many failures with those things and even if you get it working, breaking down over a short period of time.
I've had mine installed for at least four months now with no problems. Had it installed on my old single-DIN Pioneer HU for a couple months, and then just unplugged it and plugged it into my D3 and it worked the instant I turned it on. Still working to this day.
People might have had problems with the PAC-SWI-X, but I haven't read anything about the PAC-SWI-PS. *shrug*

the delay on the unit is fairly quick,no complaints there
i have had the infrared-beam model (in my pathfinder with a kenwood unit) and the wired sw adapter (in the tC with a kenwood ddx-7019). they both work flawlessly. i am not a rocket scientist nor a brain surgeon, but programming was still do-able (patience is a must). my pathfinder's has been working for 3 yrs now and nothing has broken down on it. i say if you have sw remote on your car, there is absolutely no reason other than laziness, that you should not continue the convenience when you get an aftermarket hu.
mine works flawlessly also and easy to install (i have picture of it in my d3 install thread).. i really dont understand why some say its too hard to install or have had any problems.. i love the fact that I have my "mode" button as a instant mute button
