well I ran out of paint and I wanted to redo my interior bezel,

in the beginning I used duplicolor sub truck body paint with clear coat spray.

I needed to pick up some more clear coat and picked up acrylic enamel instead.

is it safe to use acrylic enamel on the interior trim as a clear coat?

 

I did on mine but be careful as differnat brands of paint use differant additives to harden the paint.I try and stick to Krylon only if I start with Krylon.......I have had paints crackle on me like a desert

Try a light coat and let it dry.......if no cracks appear it could be ok to continue.worse comes to worse you will get stuck wet sanding it back down and redoing it.
