Does anyone know if the factory component speakers for the tC have passive crossovers? I am installing some infinty perfect components this weekend and was wondering if i would have to use the ones supplied with the speakers or could use the factory ones (if there are any). I will also be powering them with an MTX blue Thunder amp.

 

use the ones with the speakers. I don't think there's any actual crossover on the stock ones.

 

do you think there is enough space to mount them behind the door panels? These bastards are huge. (7x4.5x2)

 

the stock has to hace passive cross overs.... thats what separates the frequency signal. Use the new ones... they were designed for the componants you purchased

Exactly. The aftermarket crossovers are designed to work specifically with those speakers.

Besides, the aftermarket ones are usually much better quality than OEM.
