Default Pioneer AVIC-D2

Hi I was wondering if the Pioneer AVIC-D2 will be able to play movies while the car is in motion? I know that other units you have to ground the e-brake wire but is it just the same thign with the D2? I think I read somewhere where it said pioneer units are different. Also don't worry, this is mostly for passengers to view not me.

Thanks

theres no DVD player so off the bat, no. and all you have to do is stick a wire into th upper left hole int he harness which has no pin in it (it'll be blatant that its missing) and ground that out, as well as the E-brake, and ta-da, it opens up and works. I love my D1.

But I had DVD in the car, it got boring, cool to say I had it but never really watched.

---That and driver watching is dangerous o.o;

Still the best navigation you'll get, the eclipse models suck (owned them)

Just buy a inexpensive $100 single din DVD player and mount it under the seat.

I have used both, and they both worked well. Pioneer seems to have a better interface tho.

It depends what you are looking for. I hooked up a DVD player (PS2 Slim) to mine and havent used it much. The reason I did put it in is for when i take long trips (which i have a few coming up).
To me the most important spec was the POI that each has. The Pioneer has way more POI (Over 11 million I think now) and phone number search is just awesome for it.

The D1 and D2 do NOT play dvds. The DVD drive is only for the navigation DVD.
