Default Pioneer AVIC Z1 Questions

I'm looking to buy an AVIC Z1 pretty soon, but I have some questions about it:

1. How well does it fit into the tC's double DIN opening? Does it leave any gaps, or do you need a kit to fit it?

2. How does it plug in to the car's wiring? Do you need to buy a special harness for it?

3. Do you need a separate adapter to use the Bluetooth functions?

4. Can I keep the steering wheel audio controls, or will I lose those?

Thanks!

1. there will be gaps on the left and right side like most double din units have in the tC. there is a part from toyota that fills those gaps up
2. new wiring harness is required
3. the bluetooth is optional, adapter required(not released yet)
4. will need adapter

hope that helps.

Thanks guys. :D

Do you know the Toyota part that fills the gaps?

How complicated is it to do all the wiring? What kind of adapter would I need to get the steering wheel controls to work?

Heres what you need to fill the gaps. I think it would be better if you just make your own out of abs plastic, looks cleaner imo.

The install of the unit itself isnt hard all you do is tap into the ecu for the speed sensor and the rest is just like doing any other aftermarket radio, but the steering wheel controls look pretty hard...check out this post it should be similar with the Z1.
