So all in all it took me about 2 hours to install the camera I think, didn't keep track of time. Onto the pics:
I took the panels off the trunk:

I took off the 4 nuts that kept this piece on:

Looking that this grommet, its where the trunk open button wires pass through:

Gave it a little slice so I can pass the camera wire through:

Ran the wires through and zip tied it to all the existing wires and I came upon this tube o' wire that is on the top of the hatch. It be came tricky here I tried to push the wire through it, tried to fish it through it, but the plug on that end of the camera wire is a little to big. I'm pretty sure someone with patience can do it, but I ran out of it! You can see how I did it I just basically ran the wire on the outside of the rubber and passed it back inside of it. Not shown in the picture at the end I wrapped it with electrical tape.:

Since everything was taken apart, I ran the reverse wire (purple/white). I tapped it to the reverse light obviously:

The little power box for the camera, it is mounted behind the steering wheel column area, right to the left of the stereo:

Put everything back together and you have this:

and this is how the rear of the car looks like:

Put the car in reverse and you will see this:

Oh yeah people was curious as to where I put my XM box, its behind the glove compartment zipped tied to the ECU:

And here is where the XM and GPS antenna is located at, below the windshield wiper cowl:

The XM reception is suffering a little bit, not sure if it is from the cloudy skies and crappy weather we had lately, gonna wait out a few more days to see how it is or else I would have to relocate it.

I would say touch up the paint a little. Even though it looks like it blends in (my car), it does stick out a little. If you know what I mean. It is on their via double sided tape that came one the camera. Now that I think about it next weekend I will drill a small hole in the base of the camera and the bottom of that hatch thingie and bolt it in there. Even though the camera is free if I do lose it, it would suck! Even if someone does rip it off they will have no use for it, its the dumbasses that feel like pulling it off for fun.

I'm hoping to install mine under / behind the Scion logo on that plastic panel... Yours gives a nice image, hopefully mine will! (it's the eBay one with the infrared lights, but it needs like a 1.5" hole!) If only we could get rid of that damn warning on the screen, it's rather annoying. As for the antennas up front - mine are the same and are in the same place, and the XM reception blows even on perfectly clear days. I eventually made a bracket so they're sitting just under the surface of the screen vent thing instead of at the bottom, and it still blows. (made sure to keep a sheet of metal under them for a ground plane..) I'm thinking of trying to (at least the XM one) mount it under the rear skylight, out of the way.. I love XM but when it cuts out every couple minutes.. ugh. Good install!

washed the car this past weekend and sprayed right on it just to see what happens, it came out fine. I was raining a good amount last week also and it never gave a problem. Even with a little water on it during the rain, the resolution still looks decent.
