hello everyone.. ive been keeping my eye on these forums for the past couples weeks doing research on the car i wanted to buy... so now i am a proud owner of a super white tc.. but enough about that.. im a sound nut and i had a pretty nice setup on my old car which was a s13 sr20det.. but it was a single DIN HU.. i want a double DIN now and im torn between either the AVH-P6800 or the AVIC D2.. one has a 6 disc dvd changer.. the other has nav.. and a lil older and a slightly smaller screen.. and i can get both for around the same price so i was wondering if anyone had any opinions on which might be better.. i have 2 jlw3v3 and 1000/1 amp if that makes any difference

 

you could get the avic d1 instead and save more $$...it's exactly the same as the d2....the d2 just has updated disks...you can get these disks on ebay for 40 bucks or download them off some torrent site....i did it and saved about
$600

 

ECLIPSE AVN6600 that's my next big purchase for my car. but between both those two models.. i personally perfer navi over a 6 disc cd/dvd changer. the only reason why. i did the research and the new models like that one u cant add navi directly. only video input source with a remote control. but... look into the eclipse units. a bit more costly but greater quality sound.

I think imma go with the avh-p6800dvd.. I'm a heavy ipod user and the interface for the d2 is crap.. I don't like eclipse too much but that's because I've only used pioneer HU since I started driving so I'm sorta partial.. Also my tv tuner and ipod adapter would go to waste
