are you sure you plugged it back in? does your digital clock work? does the blinking light on the hvac still light up?

that doesnt sound right at all to be honest. something isnt right. i've had 4 head units in my tc and never once had this issue. the hvac lighting and a head unit are 2 completely different sets of wiring and dont correlate at all

u may have the wrong wiring harness; andyea the one is for steering wheel controls. you will lose those unless you buy a PAC wiring harness for it.

i've never trusted that place for anything audio/video when it comes to cars (then again i dont trust em for computers either). look on sonicelectronix.com and see what they have listed; that's where i have bought everything in mine including wiring harnesses

you may have to get the a/c unit changed out....i had the same problem...lights went out completely under the radio (where the clock is and when you turn the lights on, the ac dial has no lights either) mine was under warranty at the time. try the dealer or looking for one online...i changed my radio twice and never lost the lights so it is definately not the wiring harness....two harnesses are for the radio (speakers and power and what not) the other wire harness is for the controls on the steering wheel and the last harness is for the ipod interface(which is standard on all tc but you have to purchase the remaining cable for it to work) im almost 100% sure its the ac control unit on the center console...just switch it out...

when you take the center console off to do the radio install, turn the waterfall around and youll see a black box on the bottom, where you plug that long wire harness in....that unit has to be replaced...its the a/c control, where you adjust the temp and speed of the fans...its a simple swap...a few screws on each side and thats it....they go bad like mine did...very very simple fix as long as you have another one to swap it out with...

no problem buddy....if you have a friend who has the tc, ask him to swap it out to make sure 100%....everything works though right? you can adjust the ac and the fan speed and the time is on there? i had the same problem, went to the dealership, ordered a new one and swapped it out in less then 15 minutes...works like it should now...

ill just try the stock radio and c if it does it with that one if it still does the same thing then its the ac thing but if it lights up with the stock on im just gonna have to deal with it i guess

im thinking that maybe it wasnt wired up good....go to crutchfield.com and check to see what harness(s) you may need for it to be wired correctly...just a shot...
