Default Plz help me check over my stereo install b4 i go any further

Ok so here's the deal.

the summary.....

I'm removing Polk DB6500s in the front.
I'm removing an MTX Thunder TA3404 4-Channel Amp.

I've deadened all surfaces already.
I'm leaving my head unit, an Alpine 9857, in place for another week until my Pioneer Premier 980BT comes in.

I'm installing an eD Nine.2x.
I'm installing CDT HD-62/M6i Components.
The eD amp will power the CDT's.

I'm installing a JL 250/1.
I'm installing an eD SQ10 Sub.
The JL will power the eD.

The background, simple style:

Circuit City did my previous install, dumb@ss mistake #1.

The background, more defined style:

Aight so basically I had the MTX amp powering the front and rear speakers. The rear speakers are Infinity Kappa 52.7i's (dumb@ss mistake #2 - should never have replaced the stockers.) What i want to do now is have the rear speakers powered off the HU, and run the signal directly from the HU to the amp, and then the amp to the speakers.

But Circuit City made a mess of the wires going to the HU and now I'm completely lost. They had the signal running from the HU to the amp, and then from the amp back to the stock harness's speaker wires. They then connected the stock wiring to the Polks. They cut and spliced so I dono what I need to do.

What I'm looking for is, if those speaker wires from the stock HU harness are partially cut off, do i just put some tape on the ends and have them serve no purpose? Or do i need to connect those to something to make them work?

Secondly, how do i hook the rear speakers to the HU so that they're just powered off the HU.

Sorry i Know this is long but i despertately need help. thanks, mike

hmmmm.... sounds like you need to hook the wires running to the rear speakers back into the harness on the wires that are for the LR and RR speakers... If you could take a picture of the wiring behind your HU, it may be helpful...

I'm pretty sure:

RR + = Red
RR - = White
LR + = Black
LR - = Yellow

This is where i got it from, i wish i still had the diagram from when i hooked up my radio, then i'd know the colors for sure. This might help though

Wait a second, i was just thinking, and i don't remember those colors for some reason. See on that pdf where it shows the Typical New Radio Equivalent Wire Color. The more that i think about it, i think it may be those colors
