I almost went with Polk components in my car...but then I went to a local audio dealer and heard the Boston SL60's...we put in some classical music and the difference was evident...so I went with the Boston's.

However I think Polk makes a good product...whether they are right for you depends on what you want from your system. They are not the best, but they are not the worst.

I haven't heard the db5250's, i listened to the db6500's...a significant price difference but there's also a difference in what the speaker can do...

You want to replace the rear speakers? Cause that's the size that fits in the rear. For the fronts, you want the db6500s. As for reviews, go here Polk db6500.

They will fit if you make mounting rings for them, but the 6500s are just right...my boston's had to have rings made, very easy just a little jiggsaw action...

I have the complete Polk MoMo Championship Series on my civic hatchback and they are freakin' sweet!! Clean, clear sound. Added the 10" powered Bazooka bass tube for that ".1" in the system.:D

I vote for Elemental Designs...

eD(i)6000s v.2 = $95
eD(i)6500s = $250 and well worth it!!!

The 651's are a coaxial speaker (tweeter is mounted on the woofer) The 6501's are a component set (seperate tweeter, woofer, and crossover).
I bought a set of the db6501's brand new off ebay for $120.
Running them on a Nine4 amp that is also running an 8"sub.
I really like the sound, not too harsh or too soft.
