Polk makes great speakers, if you like their sound go for it. You definitely want components for the front. I wouldn't put anything in the rear as the tC is quite small

I just found two pairs of the 6501's on eBay for $145 shipped

I'd wait for those to go down to $100. I bought the 6500's before for $100, when they started to be of the same price as with the 6501's.
