Default popping...

So, reinstalled everything after getting my car back from the body shop. I started hearing a popping coming from my right tweeter. Unhooked everything to isolate the problem and no matter which RCAs i put in (fronts in the front, rears in the rears, rears in the front, front in the rears) I heard that popping (went with my engine revs)

bad RCAs? bad amp? lots of pinched wires?

I have a road trip to St louis tommorrow afternoon and a trip to chicago sunday. It would suck if I couldnt listen to anything on those trips.[/i]

popping when you turn on the car, or popping when you play music?

could be a blown speaker/tweeter

no - i thought about that though....

im expecting the worst because that was the second time i got my car back from the body shop (they screwed up the first time) and they moved my power and ground wires and re-ran them

Im going to have my installer look at it tomorrow. Ill be ____ed if something is wrong on a large scale - all blown speakers, etc.

thanks...unfortunately i was not able to get it checked out before i leave on my trips....so that means, a quiet hour and a half to st louis, then a quiet 4 hours to chicago...

i guess it could be either the hu, the amp, or something with the power and ground (which would be the fault of the body shop...without proof though...)
