Default Possibly a blown fuse but doubt it.......so frustrated......

I pulled out the center console and clipped the power wire to the cigerette lighter and seem to have lost all power the the shift lights on the shift base as well as power to the LED's under the dash......

Checked all the fuses under teh hood but no luck........none looked blown at all. Possibly the circuit is still open? Tried to splice the piece back on to test that but screwed up and now the wire is to short. I don't care about the lighter plug, just about the LED's.......anything else I can wire in that would close this circuit? I have 1x +wire and 1x -wire that are right now covered with electrical tape to keep from touching anything.

any ideas would be helpful.

What I would do is go to radio shack and buy a set of T-Taps. You would also need a small piece of wire long enough to bridge the gap between the two short pieces that you have. Put the butts on the ends of the small piece of wire. Put the T-Taps on the two shorter wires and tap into them. I'm not sure what the official name for the taps are but the taps themselves are blue and the butts are yellow depending on size. Anyways, this should bridge the gap for you. As for your lights, it's probably a fuse you over looked or you might have blown the bulb. If none of that works, then I don't know what to do. All I can say is good luck and I wish you the best. Peace......

Hey, from BR, LA. I use to live down there....and in Hammond.....lake Charles.....New Orleans...and Robert.....Nice to see someone from where I still consider home.

Thanks for the ideas....I will run to radio shack as soon as I can and bring the piece with me to see if they have any ideas. I doubt it is the bulbs though since I there are two bars and then the shift lights. To many to blow at once I would think......

It's good to hear that there are natives of La moving all over the country telling the world about our different style and way of life. Make sure that you spread the word about jambalaya, gumbo, hush puppies, crawfish and that good stuff. Anyways, I hope that it helped you. As far as the bulb thing, I don't know, it's just a shot in the dark but you never know right? Well, good luck with it and I hope that it works. Peace.......
