Default Problem with LED SWAP

Okay so I followed the directions on swapping the LED lights on my gauges, however in addition to the 14 gauge lights I also swapped the LEDs for the tranny lights, cruise control lights, and odo lights with 200mcd (blue) leds I got from LC LED, my issue is that the cruise control lights don't work and when I switch on the lights my HVAC and radio lights don't illuminate. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Anyone have a fix for this?

Speaking outta experience, when i did my swap my HVAC and radio didnt light up either and i started freaking out too. I set the dimmer all the way down when i was changing them. If all the other lights on your cluster light up though then this prolly doesnt help...

Check the dimmer

If you have some lights not working, try checking the polarity of the leds. If that is not it, test each led individually to see if you have a bad or damaged one.

Did you perform the mod to the HVAC from my how to? That has to be done or the hvac will be terribly dim.

Also, for future reference, LC-LED is the most expesive place to get those leds About 3-4 times what you can find them for. I used to buy from them, but now I can buy them elsewhere, mark them up and they are still less than 1/3 the price of LC.

Let me know if you are still having issues with the swap. I can try to do an e-troubleshoot for you

Some bad news for you. It's a known problem that the HVAC lights go bad on the 07 for no reason. Just for clarification, it happens when you flip your headlights on, all the LEDs on the HVAC panel go off. It happened to my car a month or so ago, but I haven't gotten around to taking it in yet. Someone on here said that it is one of the chips on the board fry.

This is bad news because if you drive into a dealership, there is a chance that they could not fix it under warrenty because of your LED swap. I'm not saying that for sure, but it is a strong possibility.

EDIT: I just reread your post and I didn't see that the radio lights don't work as well. Well that's good news because it sounds like it's something else. Hopefully engineer can help you out.

Not to mention they are not near as bright as what we currently use "especially the white leds"

If engifineer cannot e-troubleshoot it for ya, You can always send it in and I can troubleshoot it for ya.
