havin issues with my ipod port and aux port on my tc.....the ipod display comes up on the stereo but wont play sound....i bought a aux cable to try to run the ipod thru the stereo thru the aux port instead of the ipod direct port and still no luck......is the aux port and the ipod port linked to the same port on the stereo? any help or ideas would be appreciated thanks.....im dying without the ipod hook up and the car is only 3 years old so im hopin the premium stereo upgrade wasnt a mistake

 

hmm...maybe ur ipod is dead. but the ipod and aux port are 2 different ports.

 

the aux will not work if your ipod is still pluged into ipod port. it seems that the ipod port overrides the aux. tried this with my ipod pluged into the ipod port and my brothers zune in the aux on a road trip. also ive had problems with my ipod occasionaly getting locked up (i leave it almost permenantly atached). i then have to let the battery die on my ipod. yeah try your ipod with some headphones... gl

 

the ipod works...the ipod display still shows up on the display on radio i can go thru songs and the playlists and everything..no sound comes out of speakers...but if i change it over to the radio or play a cd sound comes out..so it isnt the speakers being blown out ...any ideas?
