Default Ps2 Installed and the Picture has lines in it?

I had my ps2 installed in my scion TC, and it has lines that move up the screen , like that it needs a filter. I told the place and they said that the alternater doesnt stay constant and it has spikes in the inverter? does anyone have a ps2 installed and they have a clear picture without any noise on the tv?

Are any of your wires/connections sitting next to or hidden next to any other connections/wires?

I paid to have a car install place to install this. Is it a cheap inverter? or bad wires or is this normal to have video interference when using a ps2 in the car

Normal, no, but if they took a lazy route and routed the A/V cables right next to a power wire (which I'm assuming you have an amplifier in your car somewhere)that would maybe cause a problem. I'm not a major genius when it comes to that but I know if you put a delicate wire such as A/V next to a power wire it'll cause fxed up-ness.

I called the place that installed the ps2 and they said its not because its to close to any other wires to cause this? They said because of the inverter and the battery is fluctuating up and down thats causing this issue? But if you guys have a ps2 in the car and have a clear video of the game . then I still think they put in a cheap converter or wired it bad. Does anyone here have a ps2 installed in there car and have a clear video game picture without video interference?

I have the exact same problem with the same headunit, but I'm using a cigarette lighter inverter. I think using a good hardwired inverter fixes the problem.

if the video wires r running near a high amperage wire it can cause interference... just route the wires differently and u shouldnt have a problem, if u do, its something else. the same thing happened with me, so i just routed the wires differently and it worked prefectly fine.
