if the amp is staying on there could be a number of things wrong. The easiest thing to do would be to find the power wire at the battery an take out the inline fuse. If the problem persists then there is a problem with ur battery. If it doesnt then you know its the amp drawing the power which is most likely. Next you need to find out why there is power on the remote wire after the car turns off. Could be its hooked up to constant power somewhere, could be the amp is messed up and getting a feed back inside the amp. Who installed it? Is the amp new?

connect the remote lead wire to your cigarette lighter so that everytime you take the key out of the ignition the amp will turn off as well because it will cut the power going to it.

There are better places to tie the remote wire to than the cig lighter. If done right it should be connected to the gray wire on the radio harness if my memory is correct

the thing with his is because it has power all the time even when the car is turned off(key out of ignition) which means that he has to find another wire that will stop giving the amp power when the key is out.

if you do it the way I did there will never be power to the amp until the car is on. the fuse board isnt activated unless the key it turned. only the fuse box under the hood is active always. the one under your dead pedal is off unless ign/acc
