Default Question about Double Din kit?

Hey guys I need some help. I currently have the Alpine IVA-W200, and I just ordered the Pioneer AVIC-Z2. I noticed that with my alpine there is some space between the kit, and it doesnt stay flush. Is there a kit that I could buy that would fit the double din better like if it came stock? It looks like when the installer did it he just put 2 side pieces to cover the left over space. But I want a cleaner kit to make it fill in the space better and look oem. Thanks

No I dont have pics but the kit I have only covers the sides and from an angle you can actually see in the dash underneath, its like it wasnt the right kit for it..., And I know the avic-z2 is gonna be slightly bigger than the iva-w200 so I am hoping it fills in more space so it looks cleaner

Hey, I have a Pioneer Z-2. Best Kits makes a double din "kit" for the Scion tc, but it is more of two little strip that mount to the sides of the Z-2 to cover the small gaps. I did not use the kit because of the heat issues of the dirty south. the gaps allow more outside air in.

Im not sure what the installer used, I think he just used a kit for any toyota and put those two sides he had left over, looks kind of ghetto, so thats why I wanted to know if there was a kit that made it look cleaner... tin can are you selling your kit?

I have the Pioneer AVic D3 and the Metra Dash kit from Crutchfield..

Just re-drilled the holes on the factory metal brackets to sink the radio in a bit further so the door would close and attached the dash kit to it.. Fits perfect and no gaps.

tips on the door. one must shave the lip on the underside of the door. take your time and it will work. PM me if you need more help on it. Yes, i can sell you any car kit you like, i'm a retailer for many good brands of audio, but i can get it to you for cost. Just trying to help us, the scion lovers.

You can also just drill two hloes on the metal factory brackets to set the radio further back and the door will close fine without having to mess with the plastic.

I have the 205, which appears to be identical to the 200 as far as size. I drilled the factory brackets and used the metra kit and it fits perfect. Door closes just fine and there are no gaps around the stereo.

Just for kicks, I did my LED swap a couple days ago
