Does the stock (OEM) subwoofer that comes in the 08 tC have a separate (adjustable) gain control? It's supposed to be driven by it's own 35w amp so one might hope that there is a separate gain control.

 

In previous OEM subs there was a **** on the sub. I don't know about the 08, but I would assume yes?

 

there's no ****, or at least nothing obvious at least. i haven't tried looking.

 

With the previous versions you had to remove the outer cover to get to the ****. But it's possible there isn't one... it's just weird.

 

This is the 07 subwoofer, the gain control is there under the grill panel.

 

^^ Ya, that's the previous version. The 08s have a "stealth" one in the floor like the RS2 and RS3 tC has.

 

The new oem one has a better design as far as being stealth. old old ones I believe are 10 inches tho. There should be a gain **** because a lot of people like to change out head units.

 

I tore mine out and searched and did not find it.......but it probably is there some where..........I did not take it apart but it does come apart and has 12 v to it too.......i wanna put a better speaker in it and see how it does......

 

A stealth one in the floor? Like the ED one?
