does anyone happen to know if the avic-d3 will work with the sirius sat antenna that i got from the dealer? i got a free antenna and free subscription to sirius from my dealer and i would love to be able to still use it. does anyone know if i have to buy a new sirius antenna for it to work with the d3?

 

you can't use the unit that was made for the stock HU.

you need to buy a new one... and the free subscription won't carry over either.

 

aww well thats a bummer. i guess its 120 bucks a year then from here. i didnt really like the fact that i had to pay for radio but it grew onto me since thats all i listen to. thanks for the quick answer.

 

err.. you can spend $500 to get lifetime service... if you didn't know... transferrable up to 3 times costing $75 per radio

really good deal if you plan on being a long-term customer.

 

oh yea forgot about the lifetime subscription option. probably going to look into that instead. thanks for bringing it up
