Question about subwoofer upgrade
okay... I have an 06 tc RS2.. obviously, it comes with the upgraded pioneer system w that factory subwoofer under the trunk mat.
i'd like to use the subwoofer that i have in my garage to add some extra bass...
now, my question is: does anyone have a wiring diagram for that harness that connects to the factory sub? cuz obviously, one is constant, ground, remote, +, -... however, there are 7 wires in that harness, so its pretty damn confusing which is which.
The power wire for the amp i plan to use will be tapped from the battery, and will be grounded to the chassis...
as for the remote, +, & -, i figure it would probably be easiest to tap from the wiring harness going to the factory sub. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHICH WIRES ARE WHICH?
ive found wiring diagrams on the factory head units, but for some oddball reason, NONE of them include the wiring breakdown for that stupid subwoofer.

i have that factory upgraded deck... the one with the ipod control in the arm rest... im guessing those factory decks dont have RCA outs on the rear.. in all my experience wiring up systems, ive never come across a deck that readily had RCA outs....
i figure the easiest thing to do would just run power from the battery(like usual), and the ground to the chassis(like usual)...
but for the remote, i know i can probably tap that from the wiring harness for the factory sub, as well as tap into that same harness for the + & - wires for the speaker inputs... im guessing the tiny little amp for the factory sub has a built in x-over, so im assuming i would just have to tap a hi-low converter to that harness... then run the RCAs to the aftermarket amp i wanna use(it's an oldschool PPI A600 art series.. hehehe.. in mint condition too)
so yeah, anyone have that wiring schematic? ahahha.. or if anything, does anyone know if its possible to use a ultimeter to find out which ones are the SPEAKER WIRES? cuz i know how to figure out which one would be the remote wire, but ive never used a multimeter to figure out speaker wiring.. or if its even possible to do that...

if the harness that connects to the RS2 sub is like the VSE bazzooka one (which i bet it is)
the blue/white wire is the remote turn on and the Gray, gray/black, white, white/black are the ones for the speakers. i beleive the ones with the black strips are the negative. and red is power and ground is solid black.
i dont know which set (gray or white) is left and right cause my kenwood amps have the line in connector and all the wires from the stock harness matched what was on the line connector.

ok, so the wires the factory use to hook things up arent high enough quality to handle a powerfull sound system. Depending on what your doing i would suggest ignoring the stock wire harness all togeather (uninstall it if you like) and install an amp/sub setup as normal. as far as which are the speaker wires. The neg and pos for each speaker are twisted togeather where they go into the harness that connects to the hud. then its as easy as figuring out which pair controlls which speaker. run a line out off the back two speakers, then run ur rca's remote and pwr cable, and so on (carefull to not get a inteference or ground loop)
